Sharks Dominate from Start to Finish in Lopsided Win Over New College of Florida
The Miami Dade College women's basketball team put on an offensive clinic on Sunday afternoon, cruising to a 126–35 victory over New College of Florida to improve to 2–0 on the season. The Sharks set the tone early with a 27–1 opening quarter and never looked back, showcasing their depth and balance across the roster.
Miami Dade was relentless on both ends of the floor, outscoring New College by at least 16 points in every quarter. The Sharks shot 45.5% from the field and dominated the glass with 56 rebounds while tallying 29 assists as a team.
Sophomore guard Jazmyne Bynum led the scoring charge with 24 points, adding seven steals and five assists in a dynamic two-way performance. Constanza Aravena followed with a strong 23-point showing off the bench, hitting 11 of her 16 shots. Forward Saige McCloud controlled the paint with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Riana Callihan posted a double-double of her own with 14 points and 12 boards.
Freshman Meredith Venner continued her all-around impact, contributing 13 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists, narrowly missing a triple-double. Azjannie Culberth added 14 points and six steals, providing energy on both ends.
