Sharks Sweep Eastern Florida to Capture Conference Title
Miami Dade capped off its dominant regular season with a commanding 3–0 sweep over Eastern Florida State College to clinch the FCSAA Division I Conference Championship on Wednesday night.
The Sharks left no doubt in their championship performance, hitting an impressive .400 as a team while holding the Titans to just .145. Miami Dade's offense fired on all cylinders, led by Luyeisy Márquez-Moreno, who delivered 13 kills on a blistering .571 hitting percentage, along with 10 digs and three aces for a match-high 17 points.
Eduarda Fabricio dominated at the net with eight kills and six blocks, while Azra Arslanoğlu added nine kills and 10 total points. Setter Eleonora Gicheva was the steady hand behind it all, dishing out 34 assists and serving up six aces, igniting the Sharks' relentless rhythm.
Defensively, Katianna Mejía Betancur anchored the back line with 14 digs, helping the Sharks limit Eastern Florida's attack throughout the night.
With the win, Miami Dade reclaims the conference crown and secures the top seed heading into the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 State Tournament, as the Sharks continue their pursuit of another national title run.
