In a showdown the entire nation had circled, No. 3 Miami Dade delivered a statement victory, taking down top-ranked Florida SouthWestern State College 3–1 in a thrilling, high-stakes battle between two of the country's volleyball powerhouses.
The matchup lived up to the hype with two 21–2 programs, both 10–1 in conference play, clashing in a national rematch weeks in the making. Miami Dade struck first with an efficient opening set, hitting .333 and controlling the tempo early. FSW responded in the second behind a scorching .571 hitting percentage to even the score, but from there the Sharks' decision making and balance took over.

Riding that momentum, the Sharks closed out the fourth 25–23 behind clutch plays from Luyeisy Marquez-Moreno, who led all attackers with 18 kills, 18 digs, and a .273 hitting clip.
Maria Fernanda de Lima Varela added nine kills and six blocks in a dominant two-way showing, while Eduarda Fabricio posted 10 kills and six block assists to power Miami Dade at the net. Setter Eleonora Gicheva ran the offense with 45 assists and 14 digs, helping the Sharks overcome a late FSW surge.
The Sharks out-blocked the Bucs 23–13 and held them to a .175 hitting percentage, frustrating one of the most potent offenses in the country.
With the win, Miami Dade (21–2, 10–1) makes a strong case for the nation's No. 1 ranking and continues its push toward another FCSAA championship run.
