Sharks Close Road Trip Perfect at 4–0 with Sweep of No. 14 Eastern Arizona
The Miami Dade Sharks capped off their four-match road trip in dominant fashion, sweeping No. 14-ranked Eastern Arizona in straight sets (25–22, 25–22, 25–21) to close out the Victory Electric Classic. With the win, Miami Dade wrapped up the weekend a flawless 4–0.
The Sharks' offense was firing on all cylinders, finishing with 50 kills and hitting .260 as a team. Sophomore standout Luyeisy Marquez-Moreno led the charge, hammering down 17 kills on a .385 clip to go along with 14 digs for a double-double. Angelica Rodriguez was equally lethal, posting 12 kills at a scorching .450 efficiency, while Juliana Laguado Raigosa chipped in seven kills and a block assist.
Setter Eleonora Gicheva was the engine of the attack, dishing out 38 assists and adding 13 digs and five service aces in a complete performance. Defensively, the Sharks dug up 62 balls and controlled the net with 12 block assists, highlighted by contributions from Marquez-Moreno, Laguado Raigosa, and Eduarda Fabricio.
