Why did you choose MDC: “Because of its great volleyball program. I have friends who have played here, and they really liked it and the city of Miami as well.”

As an MDC freshman in 2021, she won a National Player of the Week award. … She also won a State Player of the Week award. … In 2021, she was also named first-team All-Southern Conference. … In high school, she was named the best setter for a national tournament in Brazil. … She was also part of Brazil’s Under-21 national team. … Also in Brazil, she a club-team Under-21 state championship. … Prior to coming to MDC, she had offers to play college volleyball in the U.S. She declined initially. But after COVID became an epidemic in 2020, she changed her mind and came to MDC. … She has a 3.84 GPA and made the 2021 Southern Conference All-Academic first team. … Her parents are Anna Lucia Ramos Melloni and Francisco de Assis Pinto Coelho Vilaca. … Her sister is Mariana Ferreira Vilaca. … She speaks Portuguese, English and a bit of Spanish.
