Miami Dade cruises past MAU
The Miami Dade Sharks dominated their match against Millennia Atlantic University, cruising to a 5-0 victory. The game started with an early strike in the 3rd minute when Naya Megnin converted a penalty kick to put Miami ahead 1-0.
Tessa Abreu extended the lead in the 23rd minute, finishing a well-placed assist from Kyra Tuesta, giving Miami Dade a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Miami Dade continued their offensive onslaught. Kyra Tuesta found the net in the 52nd minute directly from a corner kick, making it 3-0. Kyara Ormazabal added a fourth goal in the 67th minute with a solo effort, and Eva Cova sealed the victory with a goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Naya Megnin.
Miami Dade's defense was impressive, as goalkeepers Scarlett Veloza Albarracin and Ashley Fonseca combined for a clean sheet, with Millennia Atlantic unable to register a goal.
The Sharks will look to stay in the win column as they take on Monroe University on Wednesday at 11 AM.
