The Hokies Call for Cornejo
After two standout seasons at Miami Dade, Eduardo Cornejo is taking the next step in his collegiate career, transferring to Virginia Tech to compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Known for his explosive pace and ability to stretch opposing defenses, Cornejo leaves the Sharks as one of the program's most dynamic attacking players.
The winger appeared in 34 matches, making 26 starts, and totaled 12 career points on three goals and six assists. Cornejo's speed consistently created opportunities in the final third, allowing him to impact matches whether he was finding the back of the net or setting up teammates. His ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations and create dangerous chances made him a constant threat down the flank.
During the 2025-26 season, Cornejo continued to showcase his versatility and attacking instincts, recording one goal and three assists while helping drive Miami Dade's offense.
