Miami Dade battled hard but couldn't complete the comeback in a 2–1 setback to Lewis & Clark Community College on Sunday afternoon.
The game stayed scoreless through the first 45 minutes, with goalkeeper Samuel Cavo turning away multiple shots to keep the Sharks level heading into halftime. Lewis & Clark broke through quickly after the restart, finding the net in the 50th minute when Aboudi Ibrahim converted off a setup from Craig Moore and Joao Lutz Rocha. Just five minutes later, the Trailblazers doubled their advantage thanks to Marco Antonio Lopez's strike that pushed the deficit to 2–0.
Miami Dade answered in the 65th minute, as Edoardo Duchini buried his chance off an assist from Jeremy Levivier to cut the margin in half. The Sharks pressed forward and finished with 10 total shots, highlighted by Nicolo Liburdi's two on frame, but couldn't find the equalizer.
Cavo finished with four saves across 90 minutes, while Duchini's tally marked his third of the season. Miami Dade also created five corner opportunities in the second half but were denied by Lewis & Clark's back line and goalkeeper Vitor Hennig, who collected four saves.
The Sharks move to 1-2-2 and will look to bounce back in their next matchup as they continue their nonconference slate.
