Sharks Run-Rule Seminole State, Complete Dominant Series Win
Miami, FL - Miami Dade slammed the door on the series in a big way, rolling past Seminole State 12-2 in six innings to cap off a dominant weekend.
After a quiet start, the Sharks broke things open in the third inning with a three-run frame, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Antonio Fawcett and an RBI knock from Willy Mendez. That momentum carried right into the fourth, where Miami Dade exploded for five more runs to take full control at 8-0.
The offense didn't slow down. Mendez delivered a monster performance, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, including another two-run single in the sixth to extend the lead. Rene Ramirez Jr. added two hits and two RBI, while Fawcett chipped in two hits and two RBI of his own. Adrian Areizaga also stayed hot, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored as the Sharks piled up 12 hits.
On the mound, Jeffred Fermin set the tone with five shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out five to earn the win. Andy Mesa handled the final inning as Miami Dade sealed the run-rule victory.
Seminole State pushed across two runs in the sixth, but it was far too late as the Sharks had already built an insurmountable lead.
With the win, Miami Dade completes the series in convincing fashion, using a balanced attack and explosive offense to overpower Seminole State from start to finish.
